We are unable to take any payments over the phone for security reasons, but we will happily create your order at this end over the phone for you.  We can then email you an online link to your tracking page where you can then pay the balance of your order online.

                    • Why are your prices so much lower than other high street and internet jewellers?

We manufacture all of the jewellery in our own workshops, so we are able to offer them at the best possible price. We essentially offer a trade price to the public. We manufacture a lot of other jewellery for other jewellers in the UK which may be why you have seen the same product with a competitor at a higher price. You have basically come to the source by coming to Affinity Jewellers.

                          • Why is the price different today online than yesterday/last week/last month?

The price of precious metals and diamonds fluctuate, so our prices are updated twice a day in line with the precious metal rate, to ensure you always get the best possible price.

                            • Is it possible to get a valuations for other jewellery not made by Affinity Jewellers?

                                  • What way round should I wear my Pear shaped ring?

There is no right or wrong way or strong tradition on which way the Pear diamond should face, so wear it however you prefer. Many wearers feel it is more flattering to the fingers with the diamond pointed towards the fingernails as this provides a slimming look for the fingers.

                                  Shaped Wedding Ring Service:
                                  • What information shall I include on my Shaped Pack form?

Your ring will be designed from the information provided on the sheet, so please include as much information as you can. If you have seen a ring on our website please include the product number and your preferences. You can also include images of other rings you have seen online, a drawing of what you would like, or even a detailed description including preferred metal, width (we would recommend same width as engagement ring) diamond size, colour and clarity etc.

                                    • Why is the 3d scan of my ring shorter than the designed ring?

The green image will show your ring as being shorter than the design we have created because we have removed this part of your ring from the 3d scan.

The design however perfectly matches the depth of your ring in every way, and this removed part should be ignored.

When 3D scanning your ring, we hold the ring with tweezers to ensure it can be scanned steadily, but the tweezers are including in the final output scan. This then needs to be removed, which is why the 3d scan of your ring has a piece missing at the bottom.

                                    Diamonds :
                                    • What do 'the 4 C's' mean?

The 4 C's are the four criteria for evaluating a diamond: colour, clarity, cut, carat (weight in carats). Together they make up the quality and the value of a diamond.

                                    Precious Metals:
                                    • Do you manufacture in mixed Golds?

We do not manufacture in mixed golds I am afraid, we find the two tone effect does not keep its finish and over time they blend into one. We offer a 3 year guarantee on our rings, and cannot guarantee this type of ring will keep its finish unfortunately.

                                      • Do you manufacture in Silver?

Yes, we do manufacture in 925 Sterling Silver.

                                        • What does carat weight mean?

Carat weight refers to the actual weight of the diamond, when weighed on scales. The total carat weight shown refers to the total weight of all the diamonds within the design. We state the separate carat weight of each stone within the design, in the details tab. The larger the carat weight of the stone, the wider millimetre size of the stone will be.
